MISIANI Zachary MSc. is the founder of the CASLab, programme director of Nganyi Climate Action SDG Laboratory.
Misiani hold a Master’s Degree in Meteorology from Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology -NUIST, China (2018) and Bachelor’s Degree in Meteorology from University of Nairobi-UoN, Kenya (2013). He is a Senior Meteorologist, GIS and Remote Sensing expert at Kenya Meteorological Department and a Senior Program Assistant at Center for Biodiversity and Indigenous Knowledge in Kunming, China. Misiani has worked previously at Regional Center for Mapping of Resources for Development (RCMRD) under the project of Monitoring of Environment for Security in Africa- (MESA) & Data Management and Dissemination Sections.
His major field of interest are Climate and Weather forecasting, Public Weather Services, Air pollution/Atmospheric aerosols monitoring and Indigenous Knowledge on weather forecasting/Rainmakers. He is a life member of Kenya Meteorological Society (KMS).Misiani is experienced in presenting weather and climate information adapted to any audience. Have spoken to hundreds of audiences, including World Meteorological Day celebration to International Audience, International Seminar on Climate System and Climate Change (ISCS) China and other professional organizations and societies.
MISIANI Zachary MSc. was awarded the Honorary Credential award for social activity and Certificate of outstanding member for International Meteorological Students Association 2017, College of International Students and was selected by the NUIST to attend a two-week seminar ‘The 14th International Seminar on Climate System and Climate Change (ISCS)’, Zhuhai, China. He was awarded Honorary Credential for outstanding International graduate students of 2018 from NUIST.
